At first I started populating our world using the bland default sprites provided to me. But that quickly became a problem. I was continually forced to reuse the same sprites and it was glaringly obvious. So I took the time to create something like fifty plus original sprite characters. There still may be the need to reuse sprites but it should never be very obvious. My aim was to create unique looking sprites. I knew that the RPG Maker software was being used to create potentially thousands of games. I wanted to create as many characters that are unique to For the Treasure as I possibly could. Hopefully when all the components are put together For the Treasure will look and feel like no other RPG Maker game. I’m hoping for a unique experience that feels like no other.
